Beyond the Divide – Visit Urban League

Beyond the Divide is a community‑driven project focused on reconnecting Little Rock’s historic West 9th Street—once a thriving center of Black culture—to the heart of the city. The initiative highlights how Black neighborhoods across the U.S., including those south of I‑630, were disrupted by interstate construction and urban renewal. The project’s demonstration zone spans three blocks from the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center to the historic Dreamland Ballroom, where the team will use tactical urbanism, public art, and community programming to reimagine the corridor as a vibrant, people‑centered space that celebrates culture, creativity, and connection.

We will have our own storefront there. While you’re visiting the various businesses, swing by, say hi and learn more about Urban League is doing for the community.
